Everest Sojourn
Fall 2022

Dates:  Oct. 15 – Nov. 9
Duration:  26 days in country (21 days in mountains)
Trip Grade:  Moderate to Strenuous
Land Cost:  $5,100 (before June 15 - $5500 after)
Join us for an in-depth exploration of Mt. Everest National Park as we walk the three major valleys that comprise the Park.  Along the way we will ascend Kala Pattar and Gokyo Ri for unobstructed views of Everest, Everest BC area, Cho Oyu and several other Himalayan giants.  We will also cross the beautiful pass Renjo La, before turning downhill towards the end of our trek.  As always, I will take you on “the path less travelled” whenever possible avoiding crowded teahouses and trails.  On both treks we will be tent camping.

The Rowaling Valley Trek
 "A Visit to Shangri La"

Postponed to Spring 2022

Dates:  April 7 - 23, 2022
Duration:  17 days in country (12 days in mountains)
Trip Grade:  Moderate to Strenuous
Land Cost:  Approx. $3,885
I invite you to join me on one of my favorite treks in Nepal; the Rowaling Valley.  The Rowaling is a beautiful and mystical valley formed by the rugged and spectacular peaks of the Rowaling Himal including 23,545’ Gaurishankar.  There are only two Sherpa villages in the valley and both settled by their Tibetan ancestors over 500 years ago.   Until the earthquakes of 2015 these villages had changed very little or not at all.

“When your feet will no longer carry you, you have to walk with your head.  And it’s true.  Perhaps it’s not in the natural order of things, but isn’t it better to walk with your head than to think with your feet; as happens only too often.”
